Catalog 18 Preview

It’s catalog season! As we continue to assemble the Eighth Day Books Catalog 18, we thought we’d offer something of a teaser—an appetizer you might say—for the feast come November.

To access our freshest crop of titles, simply click HERE, or when you’re on the Eighth Day Books website, click on “new and newly discovered” under “online store links.” You’ll get a good taste of what we have in store (quite literally).

Staff Picks

Even we have our favorites. Click on "Read More" to find a shortlist pulled from our newest selections (simply click on the title to link directly to the book on our website).

Graduated Scale SALE: September 5-10

As an incentive to check out some of our newest titles, we’re offering a price break September 5-10. The more books you buy, the bigger the savings. Sound complicated? It’s not:

Buy 1-2 books, save 10%.

Buy 3-4 books, save 15%.

Buy 5 or more, save 20%.

This sale applies to EVERY BOOK ON OUR WEBSITE, not just the new titles. As is our custom, orders over $100 are shipped FREE, so explore our virtual nooks and crannies.  Though you won’t see your discount reflected in your order, it will be applied when the order is processed.

New Press Titles Released

It's been a long time in the making, but Eighth Day Press is pleased to announce that Clinging by Emilie Griffin and World of Silence by Max Picard are now available. For a limited time we're offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders of three or more books that include one of our press titles.

Run Clean Out

Alas, we’ve run clean out of Catalog 17. If you’ve recently requested a catalog, our deepest apologies. We’ll be sending out Catalog 18 mid-November.

In the interim, we’ve created a searchable pdf file of Catalog 17 you can download HERE, or just click on “VIEW CATALOG” in the upper left corner of the Eighth Day Books homepage.  You’ll need Adobe Acrobat Reader, but there’s a link to that, too.

EDB on the Road: Fall/Winter Schedule

It's been a busy summer for the traveling Eighth Day Books store, and the pace doesn't seem to be letting up any time soon. If you're looking for a seminar, workshop or retreat to attend (and a chance to peruse our books in the flesh), we recommend looking into these events (click on "Read More"):

18th Anniversary Open House, October 6-8

Yep. It's been eighteen years, and we'd like to formally invite you to our annual Anniversary Open House, October 6-8. We have patrons planning on making the pilgrimage from the far lands of Memphis, TN, and Denver, CO--so check your calendar and try to join us. There will be food, drink, music, and special savings throughout the store.

Open House Special Guest

As many of you know, we don't usually extend our Open House party through Sunday, but this year we have the pleasure of welcoming writer Frederica Mathewes-Green to town. She'll be at the store Sunday, October 8th, and we'll be open that day from 2-9 p.m.

Frederica writes and speaks on a wide range of topics including Eastern Orthodoxy, movies, marriage, family, and culture. Click on "Read More" below to find a complete listing of her books. Click on the titles to link directly to the Eighth Day Books website.
